Spark Our Spirit Ministries was founded from the conviction that when a heart is healed, a life is transformed.
Meet Vanessta — Founder & Executive Director
Vanessta Spark is the founder of Spark Our Spirit Ministries and creator of the YOUnique Heart Journey. For years, Vanessta appeared strong on the outside while quietly carrying the weight of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the belief that her worth depended on performance.
Following a painful divorce and years of overwhelming responsibility as a single parent, she fell into a deep two year depression that left her unable to work and searching for answers.
Through prayer, Biblical truth, and deep heart work with Jesus, Vanessta began uncovering the hidden wounds and beliefs that had shaped her life for decades. As Jesus healed places of fear, shame, rejection, and striving, she experienced a freedom and peace she never thought possible.
During a time of prayer, Vanessta sensed God speaking these words to her heart:
'Speak My Beauty to the World.'
While the calling was clear, its meaning was not. For the next ten months she prayed, listened, and continued her own healing journey, asking God what He meant by beauty.
Then one day, the answer came:
'My beauty is the healing of the spiritual heart.'
That revelation became the foundation of Spark Our Spirit Ministries.
Today, Vanessta combines over 40 years of educational experience with faith-based heart renewal tools, prayer ministry, and Biblical teaching to help women experience emotional renewal, spiritual growth, and deeper connection with God. Her passion is to create safe, Christ-centered spaces where people can heal their heart stories, discover their God-given identity, and walk in the freedom, hope, and purpose Jesus intended for them all along.
Our Mission
Through the healing love and truth of Jesus, Spark Our Spirit Ministries helps women experience emotional renewal, spiritual growth, and heart transformation. We do this by offering:
- Guided journeys that help women renew their hearts, minds, and identity in Christ.
- Healing workshops and experiences that bring hope, freedom, and restoration.
- Prayer-centered support for women walking through emotional wounds, life transitions, and generational patterns.
- A Christ-centered community where women are seen, encouraged, and strengthened together.
Our Vision
We envision a world where healed hearts transform women, strengthen families, and awaken generations to God's love, hope, and purpose. Through renewed heart stories, women can:
- Break free from emotional strongholds, fear, and destructive patterns.
- Bring deeper connection, compassion, healing, and faith into their families and communities.
- Walk confidently in their God-given identity, purpose, and calling.
Statement of Beliefs
- In the Triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- Jesus Christ, God's Son, is our Lord and Savior. We believe He was born of a virgin, led a sinless life, served as the atonement for our sins through His death, and was raised from the dead.
- Through Christ's sacrificial death, we are liberated from the consequences of sin.
- Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone. We believe the gospel is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.
- In Christ's second coming and in the resurrection of believers to eternal life.
- The Holy Spirit's spiritual and supernatural ministries are operative today in the lives of believers and within the Church.
- The Bible is the inspired Word of God and is authoritative in all matters of faith and life.
- In the inherent value of every human being from the moment of conception. Because everyone is created in God's image, we strive to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength, and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Genesis 1:26, Mark 12:30-33).
